The Guardian newspaper tell the story of the 3 Little Pigs if it were to be told in today’s media.

This is a fucking brilliant, next-level video.

Clever.

Why TIME Chose ‘The Protester.’

The video above shows TIME Managing editor Richard Stengel with Kurt Andersen, author of the cover story, “The Protester,” discussing how they came about the decision to highlight the global protest movements of the year and giving recognition to ‘The Protester’ in 2011.

Mumford & Sons - The Cave (Bookshop Sessions)

Currently. Lovely. Amazing.

Urban historian Steven Duncan and videographer Andrew Wonder journey into the tunnels underneath New York City in the fascinating and aptly-named Undercity, a 30-minute short shot on a Canon 5D in the city’s subway tunnels, sewers, and abandoned subway stations (and on the Williamsburg bridge).

This is really amazing. After watching this my head started immediately spinning, wondering about all the things you don’t notice because you’re distracted by the rest of New York City. And that there is so much more going on underneath our feet when we walk through the city.

If you have some time, definitely watch this. And check out Steve’s amazing photos on his website, undercity to see more from his different explorations.

Saw this from Sonia a bit earlier and I can’t get over how amazing it is.

Mumford and Sons-Little Lion Man

Looking more into Kiel Johnson’s work after this earlier post from thedailywhat, I found these lovely cardboard pieces. I love how he keeps them more as raw pieces overall instead of just as material. He keeps the cardboard exposed and is so precise with little fixes and tape instead of constructing it but then covering it in paint and more materials. Just cardboard, tape and hot glue.

Here he makes a cardboard sculpture of a Twin Lens Reflex Camera.

________

Updated thought: Earlier I was trying figure out what these cardboard sculptures reminded me of, and then it hit me: The Science of Sleep. They have a certain feel to them. They are real objects, but the construction materials and feel are more fantasy like.
